Life part 20089

Morgan made it to school Mon, Tues & Wed. She will be doing half days again next week. Her blood count is improving. They were able to rearrange her classes so she can get to all her core classes in between 9:50 a and 2:07 p.
I went back to the doctor about my wrist. He gave me a steroid injection, again. He encountered some inflammation thing and seems to think the shot may have solved it. If not, he needs to operate again and figure out what is wrong. I am not a fan of that idea!
My foot is much better. I went and got a pedicure Thursday. I was afraid it would hurt but it felt great. No shoe feels great but I am slowly starting to walk normal.
Bryan and I had a nice anniversary Friday. We went to the mall and to lunch. He bought some new socks and I bought a lipstick; we also got the girls some clothes. Such excitement for the 23rd anniversary. Maybe we will make an effort for the 25th like we did for the 20th.
Amber has finally decided she will go to prom. Now she is desperately dress hunting.
Life is never dull!

This week

Morgan does have Mono but she is feeling better. She is going to try going to school half days this week. We had a busy day yesterday, haircuts for the girls, hair color for Morgan and I ran to the library, Target and Grocery store- in between I got a 90 minute massage. As a result, my foot which is now in a regular shoe was throbbing today. Morgan and I ended up spending the day in bed instead of going to church.
Friday, Bryan and I celebrate our 23rd anniversary. We plan to take the day off and I have a doctor's appointment to check on my wrist and Morgan has to go in for blood work. After that, I want crawfish. That is my only request for the day. Yummy!

Morgan

Morgan still feels bad. We saw the doctor again yesterday and he put her on steroids. She woke up this morning with a horrible cough and wheezing. She stayed home resting all day and at almost 7 pm she is sound asleep on my bed. They are beginning to think she has mono. Great!

Resolution

For the last few years, we have attended Northside Christian Church. It was a good fit for our family but we have never seemed to get very involved. I think that is due in part to having been burned out from over commitment at our last church. My biggest problem has been my work schedule. For a few months, I was unemployed and was able to teach class and I really enjoyed that!
Today, we moved into our new building. It is a really nice facility and for me it makes me feel more a part of the church. A building is just a building but somehow it really effected me. Tonight, we had a dedication service. It was an incredible time of praise and worship. Lately, I have dealt with some unresolved feeling from the break up of our old church. Tonight, I went to get some water and saw our old preacher walk in to Northside. He had heard of our dedication and wanted to attend. I spoke to him and realized I didn't feel the resentment anymore. It was such an awesome feeling to truly be free of that.
I left both services today with a feeling of hope and a prayer for my family.

weight

I am glad I lost some weight since I have now gained it back. I say this because if I hadn't gained some I would have ended up heavier. Does that makes sense? For eight weeks, I have been limited in my mobility. The last two weeks, I have riden my grandmother's 40 year old exercise bike. Morgan rescued it from the trash. It is loud and rickety but exercise. I can't wait to be back to normal!

Day 2 Hospital

Morgan is doing a bit better. They are giving her an antibiotic dose every 24 hours. We can definitely tell that it is almost time for the next dose. Her throat still hurts a lot. They have her on a liquid diet because of her throat but she isn't found of broth, etc so she is hungry. I got her some crispy bacon this morning and she broke off little pieces. She said it was the best bacon ever!
Her fever is down and if it stays down and she makes progress, we hope to be able to go home by Friday. Thanks for your prayers!

Morgan

Morgan is in the hospital with a severe throat infection. She started complaining about throat pain yesterday and then started running 103 temp. Bryan took her to the doctor this morning and her white cell count was really high and she was dehydrated so they sent her across the street to Tomball Hospital.
Right now, they are doing IV antibiotics. What a great way to spend spring break!
We have internet access but they block Facebook here. That sucks!
I will keep ya'll posted...
