On November 4, I got to go vote, get a flu shot and take a random drug test for work. Yeah for me! I haven't had a flu shot in years and now I remember why; I get sick! I tool my first sick day yesterday. I got up, got dressed and realized I had a fever and couldn't bear to move off the bed for the rest of the day.
I have only gotten the flu once that I can remember and that was a few years ago when the flu was early and a strain that wasn't covered by the existing shot anyway.
The drug test was a pain! The testing place was just down the road from Greenspoint Mall (it's nicknamed "gunspoint" for a reason!). I had to drive 30 minutes to get there; wait an hour and 10 minutes and then drive 40 minutes back (traffic). Luckily, I did it while still on the clock. There was no way I was driving 25 miles round trip and wasting all that time for free. I understand the need to do random drug tests but seriously we have places in Tomball that can do them. I was wondering if worker's comp would cover me if I got robbed while going to get the test. I am pretty sure I saw a male prostitute on the corner across from the mall!
As far as the election goes, I will trust God to care for us! I will respect the office of president but there is nothing in the man's background that makes me respect him as a man. It has nothing to do with color, just with character.
